Day 1. Chapada de Guimaraes
If we fly in from Sao Paulo to Cuiaba or arrive to Cuiaba airport after Pantanal. Arriving in Chapada around sunset, if in time few stops along the the beautiful road that cuts through the NP, before you get in Chapada town.
Day 2. Birding on Chapada de Guimaraes
Cachoeira do Marimbondo road, Cerrado/Tall Cerrado (White -rumped, Shrike-like, Black-faced Tanagers, Red-crested Finch, Curl-crestd Jays, Peach-fronted parakeet, White-eared Puffbird, Brown Jacamar, Helmeted Manakin,Mid-mornig to Jamacá Valley Fiery-caped and Band-tailed Manakin, Southern Antpipit, Amazoniam Motmot, Red-necked Woodpecker, White-backed Fire-eye.
Afternoon: Road to Aroe Jari cave: Red-legged Seriema, Yellow –faced Parrot, Chapada Flycather, Plumbeous Seedeater, Horned Sungem (rare), White-vented Violet-ear, Coal-crested Finch chances for Crowned Eagle
Day 3. Birding on Chapada de Guimaraes
Road to Cidade de Pedra, searching for Collared-Crescentchest, Campo Suiriri, Plain-crested Elaenia, Southern Scrub-Flycatcher. Rufous-winged Antshrike, Rusty-backed Antwren,
Afternoon: at Vale da Bencão looking for forest species such as Planalto Tyrannulet, Planalto & Buff-throated Woodcreeper, Planalto Slaty-Antshrike, Plain Antvireo, Band-tailed & Fiery-capped Manakins, Pectoral & Saffron-billed Sparrows, White-bellied Warbler, Tataupa Tinamou and even the very secretive Pavonine and Phaesant Coockoos are among the possibilities.
Day 4. Birding on Chapada de Guimaraes and drive to Serra das Araras.
In the last morning leaving a visit to the geodesic Center Lookout searching for Yellow-billed Blue-Finch and after that a visit to Bridail Veil fall in the NP searching for Blue-winged Macaws, Red-and-Green macaws, King Vulture, Bat Falcon, Glitering-bellied Emerald. Drive to Serra das Araras.
Day 5. Serra das Araras to Cuiabá
All morning at Serra de Araras looking for Harpy Eagle, Crowned Solitary Eagle and Ornate Hawk-Eagle among many other things.
