Condor watching trips to Santa Eulalia Canyon - only 3 hours from Lima

 INTRODUCTION:

Andean Condor, Vultur gryphus Santa Eulalia Canyon, Lima, Perú Photo:Gunnar EngblomWho would believe that there are condors only 3 hours from noisy metropolis Lima? Well it is true. Here in Santa Eulalia Canyon.

Kolibri Expeditions is starting a ground breaking project in Santa Eulalia Canyon. Daily condor watching trips. This is a short, inexpensive and time efficient alternative for those that had considered to go to Colca Canyon to see condors. The scenery is breath-taking.

You don't have to be a bird watcher to enjoy these trips. Our guides are trained birdwatchers and will be able to identify all the birds you see. As for the flora, we have good connections with the botanists that can identify plants we take pictures of. Eventually, we plan to make a plant identifying guide to the plants in the area. Best time of year for plants is between January and April.

It is recommended you do our overnight program with a night in Huachupampa to be in position the following day, but it is possible also to do a 4 AM start to make it all in one day.
