We introduce the Southern circuit. This is a slow pace trip, that also takes into acount archeological sites, splendid scenery, plants, mammals, wine, food, etc along the most popular route of Peru. On this trip you do not have to be an expert bird watcher. In fact you may just have started looking at birds at your feeder back home. On the other hand if you are into seabirds this is the trip for you with several opportunities to do seawatching and a small pelagic where the humboldt current comes closest to the Peruvian mainland. Your best character is the desire to learn more. You bring with you an exploring spirit and we will supply the rest. Check out the itinerary.

General Information
Welcome to Kolibri Expeditions´ new concept for birders with higher demands on the services given - we proudly introduce Marvelous Spatuletail Tours

With Marvelous Spatuletail Tours you know that you will have the best there is and that the pace will be set to comply with your needs.

The hotels are generally of very high standards. The vehicles are comfortanble and in very good condition. The food is prepared by our cook or in good restaurants. We cater for vegetarians with varied courses.

Marvelous Spatuletail Tours involve longer stays at each site to limit driving at night and to extend access times to the birding locality in the morning. This will certainly mean that the pace will be slower, but also that the risk of missing key species will be less. There will be additional chances for most species, not just one shot. This also gives more time for people who are into bird photography and digi-scoping

On a Marvelous Spatuletail Tour trip it is ok to be a slow or poor walker. We don´t do strenuous hikes on most programs.

All Kolibri Expeditions trips can be upgraded in terms of hotels and vehicles. Please write us for further information and price quotes.
