Love, love, love Twitter. I've been on Twitter since Aug 2007. It is great for building community, getting questions answered or just hanging out. There are lots of good aps out there. Some of the ones I use are HootSuite, Twitterfall, Tweetbeep, Tweetlater and Twittersearch. I do not use TweetDeck. The best way for me to find another birder to follow is if they put birder or birdwatching or birding in the profile. Come hang out with us. I'm @birdingbev

I tweet rare/interesting bird sightings in MD, collected from MD-Osprey, the state birding list-serve. It's capped at 600 so it's closed to new subscribers. I gather what I can from the archives to keep followers up-to-date on reports. I'll continue this in SC when I head down there in May to work on my thesis research: I study painted bunting nest patch selection. Follow me @galaxycoff !
