  • There are vacancies on a trip on Jan 9. See trip description of this 7 day trip
  • Wow, what a gorgeous and amazing bird!

  • Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes, I have seen it several times. In fact we raised some money from Kolibri clients and supporters, so one of the locals in the area - Santos Montenegro - could buy some land that have these beauties displaying. In spite of being so conspicious they can be remarkably difficult to photograph.
Alejandro did a very good job here. Going up North next week. I think there are some vacancies - hehe!

More seriously, there is a trip in February that could take some more people. The January trips are full, I am afraid.
  • I agree with Larry that they are well worth the trip just to see them...and why not stay for the rest of the amazing birds. Thanks for introducing me to this incredible hummingbird.

  • Absolutely marvelous and spectacular. I haven't seen any of them at my feeders ;-) Maybe because they are endemic to Peru and an endangered species?

Have you actually seen these birds Gunnar? They would be a reason to come to Peru all by themselves!
